Cabbage, 1 Head, shredded
Onion, 1 1/2 Large or 2 Medium Sweet, chopped
Butter, 1 stick
Bacon, 1 lb, cut into small pieces, cooked, drained
½ cup water
Egg noodles, 2 cups (before cooking) cooked
Potato dumplings by AlabamaCooking, recipe below
Garlic Powder, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Salt, to taste
Directions

3 large potatoes
Eggs, 2 beaten
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 1/4 to 2 1/2 cups flour
Peel and grate potatoes. Add egg and salt and mix well. Stir in enough flour to make dough barely stiff. Pinch off small bits of dough and drop into boiling salted water. Cook until noodles float to top. (I boil them for 6 to 8 minutes.) Place in colander, rinse and drain.
